  1. Just one thing you didnt tel us.

Are you looking to join the USMC or the British Royal Marines?

  2. First you are going to have to qualify high expert in boot camp. That is the first and foremost thing to becoming a sniper.  Second you are going to have to put in for Force Recon while still in boot camp. If accepted you'll go to Force Recon School jump school and Seal school.

Only after all that will you be qualified to put in for sniper school.

  3. I respect your knowledge thus far and it is very admirable that you have done so much prior research, but I believe your best bet is to get in touch with the USMC themselves, officers or something like that, and ask them specific questions, they are probably better equipped to give you an excellent answer than us civilians!!! :-)

  4. For starters, you've definitely on the right track.  Not sure about being a sniper as a commissioned officer.  Either way, Force Recon would definitely be your best avenue of approach.

    Nice runtime by the way.

*Tippy, there are quite a few prior military here to answer questions like these.  If you've noticed, most of the answers come from current/former military personnel.
