How do i go about living in CA when i currently live in england?

when im older ive thought about moving to CA for a few years, i was wondering what sort of immigration prosesses i would have to go thorugh. Will i need a visa? how do i get one?

  1. Yes, you will need a green card. To remain in the USA for more than a certain amount of time (I do believe it´s 6 months, but don´t quote me on that!), you need a visa. Usually, immigration is granted to those with a skill or job that they need, other ways to get there is on a marriage or engagement visa, seeking assylm (though I don´t think that´ll pass as you are British), or by getting a family member already there to support your application. It´s quite difficult for a British citizen to get to the USA as you cannot enter the Green Card Lottery, your country is excluded.
