  1. get a passport and apply for a student visa to go to school there :P

    good luck

  2. You need to apply for a work visa or a student one. If you can get a job there you can apply for a green card later but make sure you get it all done officially or they will kick you out and deport you right back to Canada. A friend of mine lived there illegally and even opened his own restaurant in New Orleans. They deported him when he came back to visit Canada for documents he needed to get american citizenship.

  3. as long as your not related to govener grandholm in michigian its ok.

  4. First of all, chances are, if you're still in high school, no one has said you had to take an SAT to get into university. You don't need them in Canada. Your acceptance is based on your highschool average and for some professional colleges (medical, dentistry etc) your acceptance is also based on an interview, extra curricular, volunteer, etc. You need to write your acheivement test before you can even think about applying to an American school.

Then, you need to apply for a student visa so that you can go to school there. Here's some info on that:

Once you get your student visa and you get a decent score on your test, you can start applying for schools. Remember that there are application fees. So far, you've paid to take your SAT, paid to get your Student Visa (and passport if you don't have one), and now you're paying to apply places.

Once you get into a a college, someone before said that tuition could be doubled or tripled - they are right. Canadians do it too. We keep tuition at costs as low as possible for our citizens and raise them for students studying from abroad.

Los Angeles hey? Do you know the cost of living in that city? It's insane. Start looking for a place to stay right away - they get scooped up quick. Oh wait, did I say they were expensive? Check out Craigslist. It's a really good site where you can find an apartment, a desk or a lover. Lots of Americans use it. I found a great apartment in Florida from using this site last year.

If you have a lot of money to throw around and you're sure you're going to do great on those SATs, then go for it and good luck. Also, look into healthcare. You don't want to get sick down there without insurance ;)

  5. There is a huge division from people under and over 28 years old. A student can travel to the USA. The tuition is always double or triple, so get ready for that. But a student visa is far easier if you are under 28 years old.
