  1. Nope. I send many letters to Japan from the US.

You just put the address in Roman letters and you send it out. :)

But, I usually put the TO address on front in both english and Japanese,

then the return address on the back in English.

  2. No. You just send it in a normal envelope and then you take it to the post office. They then weigh it and the more amount it weighs, the more it will cost to send it. If its just a letter, mine cost £1.25. You may need one of them big brown envelopes. That is what i did but mine went to Canada. Hope this helps x

  3. Go to a post office, say the country you wanna post the letter, they'll weigh it, you pay there you go! I mean, the letter :P

  4. Ordinary envelope is fine but an air mail one is slightly lighter. Take your letter to the post office they will weigh it and put the correct postage on and off it goes

  5. You can actually get air mail envelopes which are lighter and so help keep costs to minimum

If you are writing just a letter with no enclosures you can buy at the post office air mail letter which are a sort of fold over multi page which also includes the cost of postage

If all else fails just put your letter etc in a normal envelop and take it to the post office and ask for it to go air mail . The assistant will weigh it , add the stamps and an air mail sticker , and you pay then .

  6. No special envelope (unless you want to send it as express mail).

You write the address and by the Japanese address, write "JAPAN", and underline it, so they know exactly where it's going. Take it to the post office to get the correct amount of stamps. They'll send it for you, and of course, they should also be able to help you if you are confused.

  7. Put it in an envelope take it to post office and buy a stamp then stick it in the letter box.

  8. just put it in a normal envolpe with the address on then take it to the post office. They will tell u how much it costs and then send it

  9. Just take it to the post office and say "i need to post this to Japan"
