  1. ballet is a must! u will nto go anywhere if u dont take ballet, u need technique!!

  2. I think you should take ballet because it gives you better technique in your dancing. I didn't think so before I took it, but it really does.

I am on a competitive hip hop troupe, a contemporary company, and I compete in tap.

My favorite type of dancing is tap or contemporary...

To start, I think you should take jazz, hip hop, and ballet. Once you get to a more intermediate level in jazz I think that you should start taking contemporary, because I think you should get the basics before you go to that.

I started off with hip hop, then a year later jazz and tap, then ballet two years later... then after two years of ballet I made the company. It's a lot of dancing, but if you're serious about it, you'll need a lot of training.

But don't be discouraged 'cause look at Sabra on So you think you can dance.

She WON and she did four years of dance.

  3. yes you NEED to take ballet! it is the base of all dance. then once you get the ballet basics you can move onto other styles.

  4. You should take ballet because the things you will learn apply to the other forms of dance that you are interested in. Take another form of dance as well so that your technique will we well rounded
