  1. very simple. you dont, that will weaken the metal. you want to do research and fine a set of lower profile springs, and have them installed.

  2.   You can, but you need to put something under the truck at a half inch above where you want the  height to be. Heat the springs enough to get them to drop. Once the truck hits the stop blocks remove the heat. Let them cool  on  their own for a few hours(over night would be best)  before removing the blocks. Be sure not to heat the shocks. Also depending on how low you  go, you may  need  shorter shocks.

  3. It will work, but don't do it.  First, you can't control the amount the truck will "fall" and second heating the springs changes their resiliency.  My dad did it to a '58 Ford.  That thing drug the ground after he was finished.  If you try it you'll find the spring will start falling before it turns cherry and will continue to fall after you take the torch away.

  4. If you do lower with a torch it will change the caster & camber of the front alinement> & heating them there is no control of the amount of drop they will have>To much heat and the spring is shot>

  5. the correct way to heat your springs to lower your ride is, replace them with lowered springs, you can pay a little now, or alot, later...

  6. HI

I wouldn't heat the spring but you can cut it with either a torch or a saws all. I'd start with 1/2 a coil at a time fit it and see how low that drops it.. then go from there. I"m thinking 1/2 a coil well drop it 2" or so..

    good luck
