Question:

How do i hit a kick/twist serve?

Eh, I've been playing tennis since i was 8, but i never actually took alot of interest in it at that time.

But now i want to get serious, but first i wanna learn how to do a kick serve

could anyone provide a video or a guide with step by step pictures :D?

  1. just to tell you, to practice a kick serve takes a lot of time,

    could be 6 months.

    when you slice you sort of curve around the ball with your racket.

    when you kick, you brush up the BACK of the ball.

    if you have problems with this,

    at the start you can do a "half serve" where your racket starts behind your back.

    you toss the ball slightly to your left so when it drops it lands on your left shoulder.

    you brush up the back of the ball not AROUND it.

    and when your done your follow through you can also finish with your racket on the same side.

    it'll be harder if your a left hander. (also it'll just be the other way around if your a lefty.)

  2. its called flexabilty and upperbody strength. (third option is height) I wont tell you my secrets but no regular joe shmo usta instructor will teach you nothing.
