  1. Yes. on the tyre there will be some numbers, look for R13 or R14. (13'' OR 14'')

  2. tape measure too and measure diameter of wheel and size at shop , but you ought to know , it says 145 or 155 x 13 on tyre .

  3. yeah its on the tyre next to the r

  4. Yes, the numbers on the tyre tell you the tyre width of tread, the tyre width of the tyre wall and the size in that order.

  5. tyre?

  6. No, huh-uh, negative. The numbers on the sidewall will give you the size of the wheel in inches, but that won't necessarily tell you the hubcaps size. Search the web for a spares place by car type and they'll know. What is this car? Gone retro have ya? Old Skool?

  7. D'you mean wheel trims, the silvery plastic things that cover the wheel?  Yep, the marking on the tyre will be something like 175/70 R 13 82 T . In this case the 13 means it's a 13" wheel, so you would need trims to suit a 13".

    I'd just mention that "hubcap" tends to refer to those shiny chrome caps that cover the centre of the wheel but not all of it, normally on older cars.  If that's the case, they're often model-specific.

  8. Strange - Bardic has given you the correct answer, but got a thumbs - down for it.

    Hub caps aren't generally seen any more, unless you mean centre caps, like the VW badge in the centre of this wheel;

    These are hub caps;

    And these are wheel trims - in which case you would check the tyre size in inches;

    hmm... and another thumbs down from some prick!

  9. All depends on what wheels you have on the car as they have different fixings points. You wont fix a Ford on a Honda and so on.
