How do i hook up 2 amps with one amp kit?

i have 2 12" MTX subs and one duel amp and it cant hold both speakers..is there a way i can hook 2 amps up to with one amp kit. i have 3 amps and i dont really want to buy another.

  1. you need to upgrade to one larger amp or you can use two different amps but it would be best if the two amps were the same model

    all you do is use a distribution block http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/G... to step down the sixe of your power wire before going out to the amps, then you want to use two seperate grounds (each amp is grounded seperatly) and a short set or RCAs to run from one amp to the next, and a remote wire going to both


  2. All depends on the wiring for the amps.  If they are 8 gauge amps....you run a 4 gauge into a distribution block that will split the 4 to 8.  It all depends on what the specs of what you have are.

  3. well just get a distribution block and hook the power wire form battey to that and from there hook them to the two amps, also make sure the wire is 4guage or higher and a capacitor won't hurt if you don't have one
