How do i hook up my home theater system with my PS3? I don't have HDMI on my system.?

I would like to get the best possible audio/ video quality, I also have a 1080p 47" tv. thanks!

  1. More details please; we need to know what type of home theater you have.  

    Or are you planning on buying a home theater setup?

    I would suggest going with a receiver that has a built-in HDMI switch if you can afford it, this way you can plug your PS3 into it via the best possible picture/sound quality and only take up one HDMI spot on your tv while keeping you open for future HDMI devices (HD boxes, Xbox 360 Elite, etc).

  3. if your not planning on buying any other equipment then you wont be able to access 1080p from your ps3 which is a shame withe built in blueray player. you will have to use the component cables on your devices and hook everything into the reciever. run a single video out to the tv for picture. but all sound will be processed through your reciever and speaker set up.
