I have to bars of blue neon lights and i need step by step instructions for hooking them up. I have bought a toggle switch for it. And on my lights there are two wires one for the switch and one for the chassis ground. and on the switch there are three holes for wires. there is an accesory, ground, and power. Where do i put the two wires from the lights.?And what is the best, eassiest, and safest chassis ground to use? And how do i run the wire to it? Please help as much as possible i dont want to take it to a mech. cause they are wantin' 60 bucks.

  1. Technically, you'd use the same types of wires that a CD player uses (If you're really lazy, tapping into those wires)

    There's a ground, that's self-explanatory.

There's the power, that gets wired straight to the battery with an inline fuse

There's the accessory, which is a +12v when the key is at "On"

  2. My advice: Don't put them in at all.  Please.

  3. Its pretty simple, I learned to do it on my own! The toggle switch has a positive (+) a ground (-) and an accessory, the positive (+) goes to your cars 12V battery, the accessory goes to your positive wires on your neons, and for the ground (-) it will go to the chassis just connect to your car's chassis (both neons) (pretty much anything metal connected to metal on the cars inside) and it would be wise to install an in-line fuse (probably a 20 amp fuse and about 14 ga. wire) to your power (+) coming from the battery and going to your switch, to avoid blowing out the light on your switch.
