How do i identify the center of mass(gravity) of regular ang irregular objects?

If the object is flat you can suspend it from some point near an edge so it hangs freely. A weighted string (plumb line) hung from this same point will pass through the center of gravity. Repeat the process from a different point on the object and where the two lines cross is the center of gravity.
