How do i improve my drawing?

bear in mind that i have a learning disability and I have never been good at drawing I am trying to draw 2 people for a portrait i was planning to put on my office wall I have tried tracing them, I have tried copying them and I just can't do it

  1. I am sorry, but most people, like me, that are good at drawing, are born with a drawing ability.  Try art lessons.


  2. It is absolutely NOT true that you need to be "born good at drawing" to be a good artist. Anyone can learn to draw well. You just need to learn the right techniques.

    Follow the tutorials here - all of them from the beginning if you can, or just the ones about drawing portraits if you prefer. You will see your skills improve immensely when you know the right ways to work and the right ways to practice. If you want more, Google drawing tutorials or buy some good art books. If you enjoy drawing you'll find the process very rewarding.

  3. If you have a photograph of them you could try drawing using a grid system. I find that to be pretty easy when I am having difficulties. Here is a bit of instruction on how to do that:
