  1. My English is also not well.

Somebody advised me to read lot in English, not only this, apply it in Ur daily talks, stand in front of a mirror and speak on a topic of Ur choice.write essays, stories, dairy, find the meanings of words u find new.

    hope I helped.

  2. Reading is good to improve your English.

Tutoring in essay writing would help, too.  Do one practice essay per week.

  3. Read books with words you don't normally use and have a dictionary nearby for words you don't know, write them down and revise them.

Sounding out foreign words can be hard with words like ideosyncratic so remember if a word is strange "y" makes a "i" sound and "e" at the end makes vowel sounds long and "ain" makes an ane sound.

Thats just a basic guide, I know there are books that help you to sound out words to spell or vice versa.

  4. First off, replace those "good" words with "well."

You should use good in something like, "I thought the movie was good."

I'm available on instant messaging rather often if you have any questions concerning proper English. Refer to my Yahoo! Answers profile for my address if you are interested.

  5. i study in half hour blocks and have a 5 min rest imbetween. b4 i study i go 4 a run or walk or something cause my theory is that exercise releases endorphines, endorphines make you happy and when you are happy while studying u r likely to do it again.

with the english exams just write practice essays like no one's ever seen b4 and stay calm..

don't know what else u can do really..

  6. You will find below study and test taking tips./

    1. Have all of your materials ready and in the place that you are going to study.

    3. Study when its quiet. No music, no TV, No headphones, no nothing.

    4. Do your most difficult subject fist or else you may never get to it.

    5. Keep a calendar so that you know when a project is due or a test is going to be given.

    6. Vocabulary is very important. Words have different meanings. You need to know the meaning for the subject that you are taking.

    7. Study the relationship of things. How is the topic that you studied related to the unit that you are studying?

    8. Your textbook has hints for you. Many books have important words or phrases in darkened or colored type, make sure that you know them thoroughly.

The sites below are excellent and will give you many other ideas about studying.

It also may be that you do not know how to take tests. This is a copy of an answer that I wrote for that.

Get used to the idea that as you advance in our educational system that work gets harder, standards higher and grades lower. It is a fact of life in most educational institutions.

That said, you may also be doing some things improperly. Are you taking good notes in class, is your reading comprehension good, do you know the techniques of proper test taking and are you studying properly?

I am giving you below answers that I prepared for other students on the last two items.

There are some techniques that can be used to make you a better test taker.

    Some of them are:

Get a good nights sleep before the test.

Do not study the say before the test.

    Read all the instructions carefully.

Answer all the questions. No blanks

In short answer questions leave the original answer once you decide about it.

In multiple choice questions look for the opposites in the choices . One of them is probably correct.

In writing an essay label carefully the number of each question and the section that you are answering.

Reword the question and use the rewording as part of your written answer.

    Write neatly.

It is good that you realize that you need help in concentration and in study techniques.

    Here are a few suggestions.

    1. Have all of your materials ready and in the place that you are going to study.

    3. Study when its quiet. No music, no TV, No headphones, no nothing.

    4. Do your most difficult subject fist or else you may never get to it.

You also should speak to your teachers and ask them how you can improve. Tutoring will also help.
