i 'm new to the game and i just love it.my dad hits impressively well but his tips doesn't work. some around 9 months ago some PGA coaches came from US here in nearby golf club charging very very high and i learned from them.i saw an unexpected great change in my hitting and could hit 150 metres long with club 7.i was consistent with that for few months but my mind got distracted towards cricket and i started spending more time playing that.has that made a unfavourable change in my swing?

what do i do?

  1. cricket - like baseball - messes it - up, stay w/ one sport

  2. all you could do is PRACTICE. what lizzy said is true.

  3. Range time, practice, and a few lessons to ensure good habits.  They can also see if your clubs are right for you.

  4. practice doesnt make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.

  5. Practice makes perfect, Rome wasn't build in one day

  6. Well, you know what they say; "It just isn't cricket" - although I don't think they were referring to golf.

    I don't think there should be a problem with mixing golf and cricket.

    When golfing, just remember the basics of the swing;

    Keep your head still & your eyes on the ball all the way through the swing; don't try to over hit the ball, a smooth and consistent swing speed, with no jerky movements can help you gain more distance than trying to use excessive (uncontrolled) power; loosen up and stay relaxed when swinging (you know - swinging the golf club - not the other kind!); and start with a correct address position.

    When playing golf - think golf - relax and it will come together again.
