  1. You should play club... instead of playing for 2 months and then not playing for a bout a year.. try playing all year. It'll help you work on your skills before next season.

Play rec. volleyball if anyone offers it.. cheaper than club but its a shorter season.

One thing that's helped me improve [ idk if it will work on you because it sounds weird ] was playing non stop games of Heat Beach Volleyball for ps2. You can buy it at a game stop or game stores that is already used for about 9 dollars.. depending on where you live and what store it is. They have replays where you can get them to slow down and you can look at their form and practice that. This works on my reactions, eye skills, and positioning. Other than that it's a pretty good game...

  2. well, i could give you a couple of drills...

bump/set to the beat of music

bump/set to yourself for however long, or make it a competitin for something..

like for serving skills, put out a hoop or something and make them hit to the zones, and the person(s) who win get a prize or out of a workout

  3. Footwork is one of the most important things in volleyball.

Practice side stepping for movement when the other team is on the attack.

Take a volleyball and practice hitting against a wall. First toss the ball up past you arms length then just hit away. If you hit the floor then the wall and just line your self back up and keep on hitting. ( What I did was practice outside against my chimney, it was a small area to hit but it made me focus hitting plus made me hit harder to make the ball bounce off the grass more)

Also to practice arm swing it to take a volleyball and just throw it as hard as you can at a wall (I used the chimney) but make sure when you are throwing you don't cross you arm over your body and just use wrist snapping action. This will help with serving too.

Blocking is what I think one of the more difficult skills to master. Sure anyone can hit the ball ( might not be in the court but they can still hit it) but it takes skill to read the attacker and move your hands to the correct spot and to also penetrate the net to prevent the ball falling to your side. So find a wall and just start jumping but remember take a step back or so and when jumping make contact with your hands to the wall. Also try while in mid jump to move your hand to pretend the attacked changing. Also remember to turn your hands and lower body into the middle of the court while blocking to prevent the ball hitting off your hand and going out.

    Hope this helps!

  4. when you're practicing weather at a gym or at your house find a wall and hit the ball to the floor let bounce off the wall so that it comes back to your hand that will help your snap for spiking.

Go to your door way and try to touch the top of it with your finger but while your doing that take a few steps back that way u can push your shoulders forward that should help blocking
