Question:

How do i improve my track times???? help please?

I am on the track team and the season just ended. I am in middle school and i want to have great times by our next season. My 100m is 14.75 and my 200m is 30.1( i am a girl) What is a good summer workout to make me faster. I want my times to be 100-13.75 & 200-29.1

  1. well my twin Sophia is 15 and shes a runner too

    her 100m is 13.01

    her 200m is 26.12

    and shes might be going to train with the British Olympic team, and day to day, shes does about 1 hour working out {squats, sit ups push ups, chin ups etc}, and 2 hours actually on the track, and about an hour working on her technique. The key to sucess is your muscle fibres and technique.

    You can be the fastest runner in the world but without technique you have no chance.

    you need to read up on sprinting techniques, and watch yourself in the mirror. Watch the action your legs makes and try and match it with videos on youtube of top athletes.

    Secondly, make yourself a fitness plan, so you tone up and get into the best shape possible.

  2. One thing is do u go to AMS? and wear track shoes it will help.

    take walks/jogs in the morning

    run faster ever time

    and just set yourself a goal

  3. concentrate on your arm, move arms faster, run faster, extend arms out farther have longer strides.
