Question:

How do i increase my chances of becoming an actress?

i do drama for a-level in school , i'm joining the choir, participating in this years school play, maybe joining a drama club outside of school, and when i start university i'm going to take singing lessons, i will also probably do an acting degree lol . what else? i really , really want this!

  1. if you really really want it, you will really really get it. You are going down the right path it seems. Perserverance. Now getting *famous* is a different story. That is all in chance no matter how hard you try. You can have a career in acting, but you may not be well-known or little pay.


  2. Well, sounds like you're already an actress, but to become a professional one, I would recommend getting an agent. They will find you professional, paid work which will go down on your CV.

    It is very unlikely that you will go very far without an agent, as they have all the contacts, and casting directors ring them up to get suggestions for people to play particular parts. Though I would suggest checking with universities about their policies on having an agent, as some performing arts or acting courses prefer you not to have one, partly because it could interfere with your work - in which case, I would recommend waiting till after your course finishes.
