  1. doode, you gotta get ankle weights, start with 5 pounds, than 10, than so on.

i started with 5 pounds, jumped 20 on each leg, than 20 on both legs tryna jump for something i cant touch, in 1 week, i increased my leap my 4 inches.

itll also make you taller xD

  2. Please do not buy jumpsoles. The workouts that come along with the jumpsoles are just as effective without them, unless you fit into a very select group of nonathletic people. You can find plyometric drills online without buying some ridiculous shoes for 60 bucks. Plus, jumpsoles have a high injury risk.

You say squats aren't good when you're young. Just how young are you? If you're 13 or 14, that's old enough. I added 12 inches to my vertical with squats and calf raises alone when I was 13. If you're 12 or younger, then put off jump training for a year or two, keep playing sports and being active, and let your body develop a little more. When you do start training, developing leg strength is the first step. Plyometric drills are meant to help utilize your strength; they don't actually increase it. So if you don't have strength to tap into, plyos can't do much for you. There's great info here http://verticalleaptraining.blogspot.com

  3. squat & work out your calves with calve lifts

  4. Jump soles...

  5. buy some ankles weights, they really work

  6. The easiest way to increase your vertical leap is to jump rope. If you put in 5-10 minutes per day jumping rope you will see a big difference in your vertical leap. You will especially see a difference in the "second leap" - the second jump after you land from the first jump.

  7. Bro you do not need Jump Soles, I never used them and I dont know anybody who has, but I can dunk just fine... My coach had our team do alot of drills, most of them involving jumping from one box to another, jumping on top of a 5 foot box with weights in our hands, doing side to side jumps off a small rexctangular box, doing one foot on one foot off jumps on a small rectangular box, jumping between two folding chairs, jumping rope with a weighted rope, tipping a 5 lb ball high off the wall at least 60x per minute... Then go outside to the football field and jump up and down the bleachers: Every step with right leg only, every step with left leg only, every step with both legs, squat jumps on every step, every other step with right, every other step with left, every other step with both, squat jumps on every other step....Pretty extreme stuff, but it paid off... I learned later on that most of those exercise were very similar to Plyometrics.... You should look up Plyometrics and do the exercises they give you, they really help... Hope it helps you as much as it did me
