How do i increase the performance of my 1993 dodge intrepid engine?

i have a 1993 dodge intrepid with a 3.5 liter V6 i read that i can stroke the engine using a crank from a 3.8 engine. if anyone has a intrepid 1993 -1997 please tell me that u did and what u put in to get more horse and torque

  3. There is some decent info on the dodgeintrepid.net forums for 1st gen intrepids.  The link below has most mods tried out for your car.

    They kinda of talk about your stroker setup, but it applies to going from 3.3 to 3.8.  Not 3.5 to 3.8.   For you, it looks like going with the 3.5HO in 2gen cars is a better choice.

    I'd say a cold air intake, exhaust, lower the car then put on a 50 shot of nitrous. That should make the car move out better.

  4. First there is very limited things you can do with those engines as far HP and torque.  However you can swap in a K&N filter to replace the air filter and try low restriction exhaust. As far as the crank swap I am not sure about that because the 3.5 is a 24 valve kinda sorta a hemi desiegn and the 3.8v-6 is a stroked 3.3 and an overhead valve engine with 2 valves per hole
