How do i indentify the access panel in the trunk of a 95 cadillac sedan deville

fuel pump went out, trying to bypass dropping the tank if possible...was suggested maybe through the trunk access panel

im sorry but unfortunately there is not an access plate in the trunk on that car. most american cars and trucks dont have this and only a very limited number of import vehicles do. the only way to change the fuel pump is to drop the tank. its not as hard as it sounds if you have a set of good jack ramps. take the negative off the battery after you are on ramps, disconnect the filler neck where you put gas in, spray wd 40 on the two straps that hold the tank, the nuts on the straps that is, disconnect the fuel lines, disconnect the electrical wires, loosen the two nuts or bolts that hold the strap on, put a floor jack under the tank and jack up til it touches, take the nuts or bolts out, and drop the tank, good luck

Fuel tanks usually are located in the rear of the car below the trunk. If you did have an access panel it would be under the carpet in the trunk
