Before i took out my nose stud for the first time and it was a normal straight one.

I bought a set of L shaped nose studs but im having extreme difficulty with them. I have got it so i can't push the stud in any further and it's pressed up against my nose but only a tiny bit of the needle bit is showing through on the inside of my nose!! I don't understand how this has happened. Is the bent half of the hook supposed to come through or can only a tiny bit throuhg be normal? Please help because i dont want it to heal up. I have left it in so the hole won't close but i want it done properly as soon as possible!

Thanks.

  1. Was your fishtail prebent or did you bend it yourself? The problem may be that the jewelry doesn't fit your nose correctly. If you know how to insert a fishtail or nose s***w already, but are having trouble with this particular one, you might want to go to a piercing shop to buy one that can be custom bent to your nose. If you can even get the fishtail in, and it is ill fitting, this can be uncomfortable for your nose and even cause swelling.

For right now, try putting the sharper end of the jewelry over the hole. While pushing inward, turn the jewelry clockwise. This may or may not help.

Honestly, fishtails and nose screws are a pain in the ***. I would rather you see a piercer then damage your nose by trying too hard. They can get it in for you.
