How do i install SONY DCR-SR35E S/W on MacBook?

Was able to drag PDF (Hand Book) 2 desktop but it doesn't give much info on installng S/W on MacBook. If any one out thr knws as how 2 install s/w on MacBook it will be much appreciated.... Thank you.

  1. The Sony DCR-SR35 is a hard drive based camcorder that stores highly compressed MPEG2 files. There is nothing on the Sony CD that you need. There is nothing that Sony included on that CD that MacOSX can run.

    BUT, iMovieHD cannot deal directly with the MPEG2 files that camera makes - you need to translate them.

    When you connect the camcorder to your Mac with the USB cable, it will mount like any other external mass storage device. Copy the video files from the camcorder to the Mac. Launch StreamClip and translate the files into something iMovieHD can use... .mov, .mp4, .DV... When the translation is done, launch iMovieHD. Drag the translated video files to the clips pane or the timeline. Edit. Export (or "Share) or run iDVD...

    And you will need to have OS X leopard.

  3. u can only install itif its mac compatible or u hv a disc that ses mac osx on it that came with the camcorder
