  1. download winrar with that you can open .rar files and the software is free

but if it says"not enough memory" the file is corrupted or is a virus you should scan your PC now!

(sometimes is virus sometimes not but just in case)

  2. I assume you have either Winrar installed or something similar already.  When error messages that indicate "not enough memory" appear, one of two things can cause the problem.

Either you have too many applications loaded into RAM at one time, or the RAM allocated to your application needs to be increase to handle the large document you may be trying to open.

Quit the programs that you have open and then open only the program you want to use

The other option is that there is not enough "virtual memory".  Virutal memory is a portion of the hard drive that is allocated for running applications that may not be using (or are in need of) RAM but still are running.  To change this setting, assuming you are running Windows XP, is to right click the My Computer icon and select properties, or go to the control panel and click on system, then select the Advanced tab and click on the performance settings button from there you have several options....its really up to you as to which will work best for you.....generally best to choose to let windows decide, unless you have a low amount of memory, in that case you may want to adjust custom settings.

Of course...the easiest solution is to get more memory (RAM not Hard drive)

  3. You should download WinRAR, it shouldn't need that much memory.

  4. Is it saying memory, or hard disk space? They are different things, and for each there is a different answer :)

  5. It sounds like you are out of hard drive space. You will have to delete some files to make room.
