  1. Your recruiter would be the best source of this information.

  2. Contact your local recruiter....USAF!!!

Enlistment bonuses are usually paid once initial training is complete (basic training and job training), upon arrival at the first duty station. Some of the services pay the entire bonus in one lump sum, while other services pay a portion of the enlistment bonus upon arrival at the first duty station, and the remainder of the bonus in periodic payments.

If a recruit fails to complete their entire contracted enlistment period in the job they agreed to, in most cases, they must return any "unearned" portion of the bonus. For example, if a recruit enlists in a specific job for four years with an enlistment bonus of $8,000, and becomes medically unqualified for the job after two years, he/she would have to return 1/2 of the bonus amount.

  3. If you want to join, you need to go meet with a recruiter. They will assist you in doing the paperwork, taking the test, and everything else. If you enlist with a bonus in your contract, you will get 1/2 after you complete basic and AIT. The other half is broken up into equal installments that will be paid every year on the anniversary of you enlistment...and it will be spread out over however many years your contract is for.

  4. You need to go talk to a recruiter from whichever branch you want to join. They'll do the paper work and get you sent up the MEPS to enlist.

If you're eligible for a signing bonus and if you receive a signing bonus you'll receive in upon the complete of boot camp / basic training. No branch is required to give you a signing bonus and it is not something you should be expecting to get.

  5. After you complete your training you get half and then after the enlistment (4,6 8 years) you get the other half. Just go to the recruiter. BUT ask someone that is already in to help you recruiters are jack asses
