How do i keep expections low for films?

ok sometimes when i get hyped/pumped up for a movie I'm disappointed at the film. It seems when i have low expectations for some films i tend to like them more. so how do i keep myself from getting overly excited for something i think looks good?

that's funny because used to happen to me a lot.....then i started thinking.."everyone always hypes it up, it's probably not going to be that good" or "all the good parts were on the trailer and there were really no other good scenes in the movie"......usually that's so true, so then you're expectations are lowered.........aaaaaaaaaaand tada! no expectations!!

Don't see the movie it's opening weekend. Wait a week and once the people who were dying to see it, see it, then you can watch it. Because you will most likely have some negative reviews from people that could lower your expectations.
