My best friend and i are babysitting my brother and sister [2&5] his brother [8] and my next door neighbor [5]. We've been taking them to the pool, the park, the beach, stuff like that but does anyone know what else we could do its only been a week and they are already getting bored with that. Thanks

  1. hide and seek, sidewalk chalk, fun with the sprinkler, painting, playdough, board games, etc.

Give them some glue, scissors(all but the 2 yr old) and construction paper, show them how to cut it up, paste it in a pattern and make a collage.

Go camping in the living room. Need a big blanket to make a tent, some building blocks make a nice campfire, and stuffed animals make great wild animals in the woods.

nature walks, they can collect stuff, like pretty pebbles, leaves, flowers, etc, and come home and make a collage with what they've gathered.

  2. Ride bikes

    Play in hose

    have a scavenger hunt

    Play tag

    Play with side walk chalk

  3. how about a day out to an amusement park there are a lot of beaches that have them and they arent very expensive. for cheaper things just keep doing the same things you have been doing but make it more fun for them, kids usually find their own ways of making boring things fun. sometimes just stay in with them aswell, as if you take them out constantly they will get bored easier bcause they arent as used to it as their usual daily routine. the summer will be over before you know it.

  4. Check your local movie theater to see if they offer free movie days...Regal Cinema does this on certain days and the movies are not recent but ones that kids enjoy.  Also, most libraries offer free story time once a week-my kids love it!

    Have a fun summer ;0)

  5. Kids are easily bored and easily entertained.  Play games, do crafts, bake with them, read to them.  The most important thing is not what you do with them, but that you spend time with them.  You could try asking them to plan some activities for the week.  You would be surprised what things they will come up with.  Good luck!

  6. arts and crafts....go to a craft store and pick out things that would be easy for them to make...get them plain t-shirts and they can paint on it with fabric paint...if you have ac moore where you live you can get like 5 shirts for $10 and the paints dont cost that much... coloring kits, paint by numbers, foam craft kits....kids love to make things.  you can even play indoor games..board games, video games.....puzzles, sing songs, etc.

  7. play games with them, play house with them (pretend play)

you could also give them so play dough too, my 4 yr old nephews love that! Also, how about just playing outside for a little while?? do you have a sprinkler/slip and slide they could play with?? hmm what else...nap time! jk

there are many others too. for instance, have them help you mix a cake or help out in the kitchen  (NOT near the stove though). Let them help decide whats for lunch- it will make them feel independent. et cetera
