  1. Gloves didn't help my kids- so I bought that stuff that tastes disgustingly sour and dipped their fingers in. It worked with in the week.

  2. Give him a soft toy to keep him occupied

  3. There is some stuff that you can buy-its in medicine section of a store-and its like finger nail polish, but it has a NASTY taste.  Its used to keep kids from putting fingers in their mouths and from biting their nails.  Ask the pharmacist to show you where to find it.

  4. you can't prevent it, that's what kids do.

is this the kid who tested positive for lead poisoning?

  5. like the other lady said go to store and buy and nail stuff. it taste bad and it will do the trick. by the way the guy with the stupid comment above is a jerk!

  6. Put a glove on his hands.

Thats how I stopped sucking my thumbs when I was young

  7. I am not a proffessional. but here ara some thoughts.

*Don't do anything. He'll eventually forget.

*Keep telling him to get his hand out of his mouth. He'll get used to it.

*Put some hot sauce or some liquid he doesn't like on his fingers.

*Reward him when he doesn't put his hand in his mouth (like a candy when he doesn't for a day, but let him know you gave him that for not putting his hands there.)

*Insult him. It is a cruel way, but my grandma says it has stopped my aunt. Like when he does it in public, if everybody laughs at him. He'll be very ashamed. Of course this way is to be done when he grows up.

*And if he doesn't stop (but think of this as a VERY last way) take him to a psychologist. When he is older of course.

    I hope I helped.
