How do i keep my self cold? My dad puts the air on 80 degrees and it like summer

HI Mr.

...I think everyone is in the same boat with trying to save some money.   Unfortunately,  we too are keeping the air conditioner way up there.

But we are staying pretty cool...  AND live in Texas if you can imagine that.  What I do is use an electric fan while I sleep.   I direct the air right on me and only use a light sheet for cover.  

Do things like taking cool showers and drinking lots of ice water.   Other than that... and since your dad is police over the thermostat :))  there is not much else you can do except spend time at the mall or make friends with someone who keeps their house a little cooler.

Good News... School will be starting soon... and they keep it at about 68 degrees.

yeah my dad keeps it at 82 to save money on electricity. You can go out and buy a cheap box fan, that seems to help a lot. 3 days ago i literally put a bag of frozen broccoli on my head. Take a freezing cold shower so when you get out you'll be glad to feel the warmth. Well i doubt this helped but i hope it did, see ya.
