  1. Close the door, block the crevices between the door and the crevice. Hanging stuff on the wall that has a lot of ridges will also split the sound waves, so do those and you will reduce sound levels by a lot.

  2. Cover the surfaces of your room with fabrics, tapestries, curtains, and drapes.  Placement of furniture in the room also affects echo: try to break up large, flat surfaces with furniture.  The website below is an excellent further resource.

  3. I had a dorm room that was very cold.  I managed to get some big heavy red drapes from a second hand shop.  I covered all the walls and it was not only the warmest room around but the quietest.

  4. you cant. get a sound proof room or move out.

  5. Hang towels or rugs on your walls. Man I hate how thin the walls are in the dorms.

  6. put some foam or something that is like foam (like the stuff on theater walls) on the wall that it may absorb the sound and prevent it from leaving your room.

  7. Would it be possible for you to pad your walls with the same stuff musicians use in studio?  Seems like a slam dunk.  Check it out. Good Luck!

  8. Move your *** outside your room and play it somewhere else.

  9. KEEP IT LOW .
