  1. Well if it is new and its something different that you've never felt before it is probably your baby kicking. You are definitely at the right time to feel it. Alot of women say the first movements feel like little flutters till they become definite kicks that you can not mistake.

    Congrats x*x

  2. Well, did anything else move in your belly before pregnancy?  You're probably feeling the baby.  Early on, you feel little thumps/flutters, like someone is flicking you on the inside.  Later you will feel stronger thumps (kicking), sometimes constant ones (baby hiccups), and sometimes your belly will feel like waves across your belly, which is the baby flipping or turning.

  3. It will become more evident with time, but lay down (be still)-- what first feels like a "flutter", or a "tapping" may develop into more defined movement that you may attribute to your bowels-- like gas moving-- but it really isn't just your imagination.  By laying still and concentrating on your uterus- both the internal and external movements-- you should start to be able to distinguish the movement of your baby.  Have you had your 20wk ultrasound yet?  Sometimes you can correlate your "suspicions" with actual pictures of baby moving.  Pretty exciting!  There's no other feeling like it in the world.  Cherish these moments and weeks ahead.

  4. Right now your right at that stage that it's still difficult to know for sure, but trust me on this in a couple of weeks you will know and there will be no denying it,lol. Good luck.

  5. When I first felt the baby kicking it felt like a goldfish swimming around - and that goldfish (the baby) would occasionally bump his head into the side of his bowl (my uterus)!

It took me a week or so to realize that's what it was.

  6. To me it feels like when I am really hungry and my stomach is growling, but without the noise of course! And then obviously after you get further along it will get stronger and you will be able to tell. Congrats and it is soo amazing when you do get to feel the baby!

  7. It kinda feels like a "fluttering"..  if it feels like something moving, that's probably what it is.

If your not sure, lay still for a while.  You will notice movement more when you are laying still.  You're less distracted then, plus babies are lulled to sleep by your movements when you are moving around.

The movements will not always be in the same place.. as they move around in the uterus, and even can flip and do somersaults!  I have noticed movement just below my belly button, and also lower in my pelvis.
