How do i know how much recording space is on my scientific Atlanta 8300?

When you try to schedule the next recording, a warning appears on the Confirm Recording screen. Also, you can see what percentage of recording space you have used. Press List and then press B for preferences.

Explorer DVRs are available with either 80GB or 160GB hard drives. If you have an 80GB hard drive, you can expect to record up to 50 hours of standard definition digital programming or up to 12 hours of high definition programming. The 160GB drive can store up to 20 hours of HD or up to 90 hours of SD programming
