How do i know if i broke my knuckle?

Question

i punched my hard wood desk a couple days ago because i was mad..i think my knuckles were already weak from bad brusing from punching that desk a week before!

so yeah, now my middle knuckle doesnt have bruises on it, but when i poke my knuckle, very lightly, i get excrushiating pain in my hand, and also up my wrist and arm. it last for a couple seconds, even tho i've taken my finger off.

i've also noticed that my knuckle feels a little squishy.

it doesnt hurt if i move my finger at all..but i have a lil pain if i make a fist.

Its been, i think a lil more than 2 days..and yeah..i was just wondering what you guys though of my knuckle.

im 16, and i dont really have health insurance..so how much would it cost if i went to a doctor or get an xray? i live in maryland, USA

should u just wait it out or should i go c a professional?

continue icing it...  dont poke at it or make a fist, let ur hand relax.

Hm.  If you broke your knuckle it should hurt when you move your finger around and bend it at that joint, and it should also bruise in that area.  Maybe you just pinched a nerve.  Stop punching desks.
