I've had protected s*x with a guy who I'm fairly certain does not have STDs. However, after having s*x with him, I've had a range of symptoms ranging from itchiness inside of the v****a, to a tingling when going to the bathroom/a frequent urge to go to the bathroom, and when I went to look and see what it was, there were lots of tiny pink bumps. And while I've never actually looked inside of myself with a mirror and a flashlight as I did this time, it doesn't feel any different than before I had s*x, just itchy. I'm not sure if these are genital warts, because they looked a bit strange, or if that's just normal for me.

I have a doctor's appointment already scheduled, but do you think it would be wise to go in for an emergency consultation?

Also, I just recently started an antibiotic that is supposed to cover multiple things (it was prescribed for a sinus infection), if this is something other than the norm, could that perhaps eradicate it?

  1. How Do I Know if I Have Genital Warts?

    --------------------------------------...

Genital warts are skin growths in the groin, genital, or anal areas. They can be different sizes and shapes. Some look like flat white patches, and others are bumpy, like tiny bunches of cauliflower. Sometimes you can't see the warts at all.

Genital warts are spread by skin-to-skin contact. The virus is usually spread through sexual activity. Genital warts are a common sexually transmitted disease (STD).

  2. Genital warts are soft, moist, or flesh colored and appear in the genital area within weeks or months after infection. They sometimes appear in clusters that resemble cauliflower-like bumps, and are either raised or flat, small or large. Genital warts can show up in women on the v***a and cervix, and inside and surrounding the v****a and a**s. In men, genital warts can appear on the s*****m or p***s. There are cases where genital warts have been found on the thigh and groin.

  3. The best thing I can suggest is for you to take a look at my picture page I made on my website. It has all the different types of warts and which methods of treatment work best on them.

Keep in mind though, that most of these are worst case scenario types...so yours might not be so bad.

  4. What do you mean by protected s*x? A condom or just birth control? I would go to a Dr. and sometimes taking antibiotics causes secondary infections. So I doubt the antibiotic is going to help whatever this is. A question to Jim, what are you an OBGYN or something? Its rather disturbing that you know so much about gentital warts in women.
