How do i know if im ready to get married?

my boyfriend just proposed to me and i said yes. i love him so much and i cant see my life without him. im just wondering how ready or what are the things to think about when you are ready for marriage?

You cannot wonder or worry about marriage.  If you're not ready yet, then don't even think of it, because if you make a mistake and marry someone when you're not ready, you will end up in a divorce.

Just relax.  You should be together at least 3-5 years before marriage, because you have to know each other inside and out, mentally, emotionally and physically..  You should also be in your late 20's, early 30's.  You should be in love with respect, trust, communication and doing anything to make each other happy, not yourselves.  Selfish people should be alone.  

Just enjoy life together and marriage will happen naturally.  Don't forget marriage is a commitment for the rest of your life till death do you part.  You have to be so certain when you make that commitment.

if you are secure in the relationship, and are old enough to make your own decisions, then you are ready.  do you both have jobs?  can you support yourselves and each other?

When you have followed this list from my mom.... and hopefully have your education, a good job, and some maturity... i.e., use your head, hon.

1.  The most important decision you will ever make is who you marry.  Choose with your head as well as your heart.

3.  At any and all costs finish your education to qualify for those high paying jobs.  It is likely that you will work sometime during your marriage, probably for decades…. Get paid for it. And remember, your kids and your education are forever…. Husbands, lovers and promises are not!!

4.  Have a stash of cash no one knows about even if you are sure you will never need it.  You absolutely will, and the more the better.
