How do i know if its safe to shop online?

i've been thinking about shopping online for a tag heuer watch but i'm quite concerned giving out my credit card number.. someone suggested amazon shopping i still don't know if they really do well in international orders. by the way im from the philippines. thanks guys!

Any purchase (even in-store) will involve some sort of risk. Most frequently is identity theft. One alternative is to pay using paypal, where you only give your credit card detail to paypal, and the merchant can't see your credit card details. Paypal is what I use. But even that, there might be some concern abt the website hiccups and things like that so there will still be risks. However I find that the benefit (convenience) outweigh the risks in certain cases. Hope this helps...  cheers... myhandbaghavendotblogspotdotcom...
