How do i know if my bird loves me? (pix)?

i've had my blue parakeet for a year or so!!! he bites me a lot!! how do you tell him to stop bitting me!!! any techniques would be helpfull!! I DONT WANT MY BIRD TO HATE ME

**** i hav the same prob with my canary! i need help to i tried tokepp him hungry and have him eat food from my hand. just so he can get used to it but i struggle with that.

well i no what you mean we have a couple parakeets and when i first got mine (I've had him for almost 4 years now) he was quite vicious and would peck at me but i kept working with him giving him lots of treats playing with him every day start slow at first and just show him that he can trust you that your not gonna grab him or hurt him

The only reasons a bird would bite you is if you're threatening it, or if he's had bad experience with you and knows you're going to hurt him. If not that, he might have had a bad previous owner, which ever the reasons you have to get him to trust you. Start by holding millet in your hand and keep going from there. You know he loves you if he preens you/regurgitates to you. He trusts you if he'll perch on your finger.
