Take her in and get her spayed so you won't have to worry about it :). You'll know when she's in heat, trust me. It's not pleasant for her, and it won't be pleasant for you either.

They show their butts around and meow rather oddly but loud.  They might claw or pee outside the litter box.  Sometimes they get weird urges like humping or wanting you to kick them or something.  If your neighborhood has unfixed male cats, they'll come knocking at your door.
