  1. Ok, here's the scoop.

With livebearers (guppies, mollies, platies, swordtails & endlers) if they are now or ever have been with a male fish, then YES your female fish is pregnant!  Seriously, they are very prolific fish.

And as for the stages of fish pregnancy?  Uh, fat, fatter and fatter still!  That's about all there is to it.  They don't exactly have trimesters.  They take about 30 days to give birth.  The females have gravid spots down low just behind the curve of their belly which will get darker and larger as their "due date" approaches.  The back part of the curve of their belly will get an angular or "squared off" look when they are really close to giving birth.  As in, within a few days.  It's quite common for  livebearers to eat their babies, so you should have some plants for them to hide in, or plan to seperate them from the adults as soon as you can if you want them to survive.

  2. when water level increases

  3. I always know when mine are up the duff, they constantly moan for pickled bloodworm and cucumber... lol.

    1 - she's pregnant

2 - she's at the end stage and should start popping very soon, when the orange starts to go black you need to move her into a breeding trap, should do this asap.

    good luck!
