How do i know if my newborn kittens are going to the bathroom?

If they are, the mother is really keeping it clean

  1. they are. trust me. the mother...ugh...eats the poo. just change the blanket(if you have on under them) every now and then. she cant clean up pee.


  2. As long as they are only nursing, the mother will l**k them to stimulate their bowel movement and also urinate, and eat it in order to keep their nest clean.

    Once the kittens start eating some cat food, it will stop and they should start going to the litter box just like the mom.

    Cats are self sufficient pretty much!

    if the kittens are with their mom, she will keep them clean..

    if they are orphans - you need to do it..

    mom should have a litter box with CLAY litter ( not clumping) in the room with the kittens, they will learn later by watching her.

  4. momma cats do keep it very clean. as long as she is l*****g them and being a good momma they should be going.
