How do i know if my period is ok?

well for quite a while now i have gotten my period with really bad cramps just the first day mom says its normal.

butt,,,

i don't feel well with it well im starting to notice a really bad smell almost as if something was rotten and well i bleed really deep red almost black this has been going on for quite a while now is this ok?

dont worry this is completely normal...everyone is different with the color as long as it is a redish or brownish colour everything is fine. The smell is completely normal! it sucks but everyone has it, its smelly discharge you have to worry about.

A normal period happens monthly, lasts 3-7 days, and is not overly smelly.

Your period can be a little smelly, but if you're showering every day and changing your pads/tampons frequently and that doesn't help, you need to talk to the doc about possibly having an infection or blood cells growing on the outside of your uterus.  

Also, if you have survived rape or have any kind of shameful attitude about the whole s*x/menstruation process, the smell could be a manifestation of your psychological attitude.
