How do i know if my peroid has started?

this is really imbarassing but when will i know when my first period has started?

You'll have blood in your knickers. Its hard to not know.

Its pretty obvious what it is when you get it.

u will know when u go use the bathroom. wipe ur u know what and then..she if there is any blood on the tiolet paper.

Good question. If you are wondering what it will look like, it is not exactly what people are telling you. Yes, you will see blood, but it will most likely be darker in color. Many females find that their underwear has a dark brownish stain on them it first begins. This is totally normal. This however is not always the case. Sometimes it can be more red in color and give you a real sense that it is your first period and not some other kind of stain from...well, you get the point. You may also feel cramps in your lower abdomen, which is totally normal. Periods typically last up to a week, no more. The cycle runs for every 29 days (approx). Run over to the store to pick up a few different brands of pads to see what you like best.
