How do i know if the company i am working for is really paying my withholding tax?

  1. BIR does not have yet a system like the SSS wherein you can check your monthly contributions if it was remitted and posted by your Company. And as of to date, BIR does not have a system for monthly alphalist of withholding tax on compensation, meaning, your company just remit the monthly tax being deducted from its employees without any attachment on which tax was deducted from who. They only do it annually. Maybe you can visit your RDO to ask for a print out of taxes remitted under your name, but as I said, it is only being done annually and not updated monthly.

    But as long as your employer will provide you your BIR form 2316 (annually or upon resignation), you do not have to worry if they remit it or not. It is their liability because employees are normally under the substituted filing program of the BIR (assuming that you have one employer and you earn purely compensation income).
