How do i know if this cat is lost?

Question

She has a purple collar, looks home made out of string but there is no address or name and she comes to my yard a lot, how do i know if she is just an outside cat or is really lost? I try to feed her but she's not really hungry, or she just doesn't like the food and she doesn't drink the water i give her and she seems healthy and whenever i leave she'll wander off over my fence but she won't wander off when i'm there so i can't really follow her.

Just leave her be.

If she looks healthy and well fed, chances are she's just a roaming outside cat- I've had one coming to my door who headbutts it, but I can see he is perfectly healthy and happy.

yes definitely she is lost. if she has a collar she has an owner. take her to the vet and see if she's microchipped. if she is it will tell the exact location and phone number of the owner. if it's not post up found cat signs

ask your neighbors if they hav a cat. if they do. problem solved

now if they dont and u do see lost cat posters... u kno wut to do from there

but no cat posters and neighbors dont hav a cat... put up ur own posters about the cat

put a SMALL note on the collar .... "does this cat have a home?"

then look at it the next time the cat comes by... if so then ask them where the cat lives.

She is not going to leave you if you feed her more/ better than the owners do.
