  1. The Sony HDR-HC3 does not capture "progressive" frames.

    The Canon HV20, HV30, Sony HDR-FX1, HDR-FX7, HVR-V1U, HVR-Z1U, Canon XHA1, XHG1 and Panasonic DVX100/A/B and Panasonic HDX200 can... and you make the selections via their menu options... but not the HDR-HC3.
