It would depend on what kind of bird you have. Some are sexually diamorphic, and some you have to have dna tested.

If it has a cere (that's the little thing above their beak that has two little holes for nostrils) look at that.  If it is blue, it's a boy, if it's pink it's a girl.  This can sometimes take a while because there isn't really any color to it when the bird is first born.  You'll have to wait for a few months to see the color, but if it is over a year old, you should be able to tell.
