How do i know my gothram my surname is Nair?

Gotras are only attributed to the patrilinieal system. The Nairs and Bunts follow the matrilineal system, hence, there is no gotra for them. As regards, the shudra or kshatriya ancestry of Nairs, if occupation based analysis is done, then they are deginitely Kshatriyas; however, there is no historical proof that autneticate any history of the people of Kerala beyond 800 years ago, so the whole thing is landed in confusion.

I am also looking forward to know the Gothram of Nairs...There are various confusing claims,which are not based on facts of history or mythology.

I dont know the gothram, but I know that Nair belongs to nagavanshi khathriya not shudra

nairs dosnt have any gothram, bcoz thy belongs to shudra cast.
