How do i know my thumb is broken?

I was at camp with my youth group and i was on our slide we made and hit my thumb on a tree coming down. Afterwardsif stung and about an hour later it was twice its size and i couldnt touch it with my other fingers and it would'nt bend at all and now i can touch 2 fingers and i see 2 brusoes on both knuckles and can't make a fist it gives off a sharp pain every like 5 minutes and it makes my entire hand hurt can someone please help me!!!!

Go have your thumb X-ray may be broken.  Try not to use that hand or at least splint your thumb for you can't use it until you see a bone Dr. Were you trying to catch the falling tree?

Go to the doctor.  It cannot be diagnosed unless you get medical attention....

you should definitly go to a doctor. it might be sprained or one of the ligaments may be torn, so you should definitly have a doc check that out.
