How do i know what make my computer is?

  1. it should show it on the monitor what it is

    when you are starting it up


  2. Right Click on "My Computer" and click on properties, there it is everything about your OS including RAM, processor speed etc.

    If you dont see "My Computer", then right cilck on "Computer" and then properties, there it is!

    If you cannot open any of the above then simply do this

    Start => Run, then type "dxdiag" (without quotes) , it will show you complete system information and all hardware.

  3. Right click on My Computer, click Properties.  

    A new window will open "System Properties" and on the top right corner it will tell you which version of Windows is running on the computer.

    Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, or Vista

    Otherwise while the computer is turning on you should see a splash screen that also tells you the make of the OS.

  4. Click on the start button then click on 'Run' - then type in: winver

    It will open up a dialog with all the information you'll need on your Windows version/make.
