How do i know when i should stop pumping air into my rugby ball?

Just got my first rugby ball and i dont know how hard it should be when fully pumped. Should i be able to squeeze it a little? or should it be rock hard?

  1. The ball should be firm !!!

    Thats the best description I can give you !

    Normally around 5 psi


  2. If the ball is at the correct pressure you should not be able to push in the surface at all. If it has too little pressure you will be able to do this. If it has too much pressure the ball will start to go out of shape and eventually burst.

    When you refer to the ball being rock hard, this is probably the correct pressure providing you have not put too much air in and it has gone out of shape.
